All content included on this web site, including text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations and software is the property of this web site’s owner or its content suppliers and is protected by the United States and international copyright laws.
Greyson Place upholds the warrantees provided by the artisans and manufacturers who create and provide our products. Because the details and duration of our manufacturers’ warrantees differ, we encourage you to contact our customer service consultants for specific warranty information on products of interest. IV. Return Policy
We regret that we cannot accept returns of items after 5 days of delivery for any reason. Certain items on our website are not eligible for exchange or return (and are indicated on the item screen when viewing). If you would like to exchange or return an eligible item purchased in the last 5 days, you may submit a return request through our web site’s Contact Us page. Please include your order number, the item you would like to return/exchange (and the item you’d like to exchange for), and the reason for your request.
After receiving a return request, we will review the information and forward you information regarding your next steps in returning or exchanging your product.
All items must be returned in their original packaging in unused condition. Unless there was an issue with shipping, soiled or used items will be refused and returned to you at your expense. Returns on certain items that are not defective may be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Returns are issued in the original payment form and price, less original shipping and handling, re-stocking fees, gift wraps and return shipping charges.
If for any reason you return an item that utilized free shipping, the refund received will be for the item price minus our standard shipping cost. The only exception to this policy is if an item received is defective, in which case it will be replaced with no additional shipping fees. If you would like to exchange your free shipping purchase for another item that also has free shipping, a standing shipping charge will be added to the item being returned and the new item will ship for free.
Please note that due to each computer monitor displaying color differently, we are not responsible for variations between the actual product color and how it is displayed on your screen. Descriptions of merchandise, including color or shades, textures and other features are provided by the manufacturer and do not fall under our responsibility. Greyson Place assumes no liability whatsoever for the description, for variance, including in colors or textures, minor imperfections and/or for a product not meeting with customer satisfaction, absent a manufacturer-verified defect. We happily offer fabric swatches and finish samples for most of our vendors, which may be requested by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the event of a disputed credit card charge, which is ultimately found to have been legitimate or otherwise finds, in whole or in part, in favor of Greyson Place, the customer shall be responsible for all attorneys’ fees and costs borne by Greyson Place. The terms of any purchase from or dispute with Greyson Place shall be governed by New Jersey law, and any litigation arising out of such dispute shall be brought in the State of New Jersey, County of Passaic, in the district governing the Township of Wayne.
VII. Custom, Personalized and Special Orders
Custom, personalized and special order items are not returnable or refundable. As the customer, you have up to 2 business days from the date the order was placed to cancel a custom order and have the amount refunded. After the 2-day limit, custom orders are non-refundable.
VIII. Finish Variations
Many of our custom made furnishings are made from wood, a natural and breathing product. Nature is unique and never duplicates—no two pieces of wood, even from the same tree, are exactly alike. Because wood responds to its environment, fluctuations in humidity can lead to expanding and contracting of the wood over time. Please note that the degree of humidity or dryness in your home may cause wood splitting, which will not affect the structural integrity of the piece and is not considered to be a defect.
Certain types of wood will have more visible knots and wood grain than others. Our artisans make every effort to conceal knots and grain on painted finishes, but due to natural resins within some wood types they cannot completely eliminate them or guarantee being able to control them. Knots and grain may bleed through and slightly discolor a finish (more apparent in lighter finishes). This discoloration is not considered a defect in craftsmanship. Irregularities in the finishes are not considered defects.
While finishes are durable, they are not indestructible. Please contact us for care and maintenance tips for your wood furniture. Swatches are available for many of our lines that we are happy to loan to our customers, though many artisans and craftspeople custom mix the finish for wood, which would lead to a slight difference in color from the swatches to the finished pieces.
IX. Receiving Incorrect Items
If for any reason you receive the incorrect item, or if a custom order does not arrive with the specifications you had laid out, Greyson Place reserves the right to have the item(s) replaced and reshipped at no additional charge to you. Please contact us immediately in the event of your receiving of an incorrect item so we may assist you in correcting the issue as soon as possible.
X. Damage Claims
Upon delivery of your items, please take care to inspect all freight-shipped furniture items, light fixtures, and mirrors for any damage that may have occurred in transit. If any are found, please contact us immediately, as all claims against damaged items must be made within 48 hours of delivery. Claims made after 48 hours cannot be accepted. Furniture items must be carefully inspected before signing for the delivery.
To make a successful damage claim, please follow these steps:
· If you are able to inspect your items while the freight company is still at the delivery address and find damage, please call us immediately. If, for whatever reason, you are not able to get in contact with us, please leave a message and either refuse the delivery or note the damages and condition of the packing materials on the bill before signing for the delivery.
· If you are not able to inspect the items while the freight company is at the delivery address, please notify us within 48 hours of receiving the delivery.
· Take photos of all damage to the item(s) and packaging.
· Email all photos and description of the damage to email@example.com.
· If the damage to your item(s) is minor, you may accept the delivery with the damage noted on the bill. Depending on the severity of the damage, you may be sent a touch up kit, or a professional furniture expert will be sent to your location to inspect and repair the damage. If you choose to accept a damaged item, please retain all packaging to assist in the claim with the freight company.
· If the damage to your item(s) is major, you have the right to refuse the delivery. The freight company reserves the right to have the piece repaired and brought back to the manufacturer for a repaid/rebuild. If the freight carrier determines the piece cannot be repaired, you have the right to be reimbursed for your purchase or have another piece rush delivered to your location at no additional charge.
Greyson Place will be unable to assist you in the repair or replacement of damaged goods if the above procedures are not followed. Please remember that not all items are eligible for return.
In the event the shipping address is not accessible by regular delivery truck, you will be responsible for all additional delivery charges (i.e. ferry fees).
